Dr Manjir Samanta-Laughton is a former medical GP an holistic bio-energy therapist and worked at the Bristol Cancer Help Centre. Despite her achievements she felt there was something missing in her life. In 2002, through some catastrophic circumstances she ended up losing her home, her career and her husband with nothing left but to follow her heart. Through the process of emotional healing she found her Genius Groove and learnt many lessons along the way.
In 2006 she published the book Punk Science: Inside the Mind of God with O-books to critical and public acclaim. The book has gone onto be an international sensation and amazon bestseller, rocking the science world with its radical view of the universe. Manjir now travels the world, presenting her ideas to audiences both in the scientific arena and to the general public who love the fact her style is so easily accessible and fun.
She has gained much media attention having been interviewed by TV, radio and newspapers including for C4, BBC 2, Edge Media TV, BBC Five Live, The Guardian, The Sunday Express, Passion for the Planet and many more. In 2008 she joined the prestigious Evolution of Science Group for a meeting of 8 world leaders in science and philosophy including Nobelist Brian Josephson and biologist Elisabet Sahtouris.
She has also found new love with the partner she always dreamed of and they live together in a mansion in the country.
